A Michelin-Starred Legacy Since 1991

Founded in 1991, Restaurant Pied à Terre is proud to be the longest-standing Michelin-starred restaurant in London. Still owned and run by visionary restaurateur David Moore, the restaurant has remained fiercely independent for over three decades. Known for its modern British cuisine enriched with classic French techniques, every dish reflects a dedication to flavour, balance, and seasonality. The restaurant’s commitment to excellence was further recognised when it was named joint first in Wine List Confidential’s UK Top Restaurants for Wine 2024. Guests continue to enjoy a dining experience that is stylish, intimate, and deeply memorable — where culinary craftsmanship, warm hospitality, and innovation converge.

SUSTAINABILITY INITIATIVES
BY PIED À TERRE

At Pied à Terre, sustainability is more than a promise — it’s a philosophy that guides every aspect of our operations. We are committed to non-polluting processes, efficient energy and water usage, and ensuring a safe environment for both our guests and our team. Every initiative is designed to reduce our impact today while protecting resources for future generations, all without compromising the quality of the guest experience.

Water Management

We monitor our water usage weekly and train our team to operate with efficiency and care. A newly installed filtration and reusable bottling system has eliminated the need for single-use plastic, saving approximately 16,000 bottles every year.

Partners We Trust

Our ingredients are sourced only from suppliers who share our ethos of sustainability and responsibility. By choosing trusted partners, we ensure that every dish reflects not just flavour and seasonality, but integrity and respect for the planet.

Clean Energy

In pursuit of energy efficiency and workplace safety, our kitchen now operates induction-only technology. This transition reduces environmental impact, lowers energy use, and creates a safer space for our chefs.

Use & Reuse

From paper and cardboard to bottles, batteries, and food waste, recycling is part of our everyday culture. We also work closely with suppliers, encouraging the use of recyclable packaging wherever possible.

Changing Lives Together

Beyond the kitchen, we extend our values to the wider world. Through our chosen charity, Karuna Sri Lanka, £2 from every guest bill supports children and young women with education, food, medication, and independence training. This initiative is personally supported by David Moore and his family, reflecting a deep commitment to making a lasting difference.

What our customers say

Everything from the quality of each dish to the interaction with everyone from the personnel was amazing. I had a better experience than some 2-Michelin-star restaurants I've been to. My courses were delightful (as a big fan of meat), and the dishes of my partner (vegan) were amazing too. The lunch menu combination was great, and the recommended cocktail from our waitress (not on the menu) was a perfect fit for the taste profile of the strawberry soufflé dessert. 10 out of 10 in all aspects.

At Pied à Terre, flavour never travels alone. It’s always accompanied by thoughtful texture, visual beauty, and compositional intelligence. Each dish is complete in itself, but together, they create a seamless progression of moments—some bold, some delicate, all unforgettable. Chef Cavaliere doesn’t just serve food; he tells stories with it, and by the end of the meal, you’re part of that story too.
