Wine Dinners at Pied à Terre
Tinto Pasquera - Ribera del Duero
Date: June 17 Cost: £275pp
Fifty years ago, Alejandro Fernández and his wife, Esperanza Rivera, bought a 16th-century winery in Pesquera de Duero and dedicated themselves to reviving Ribera del Duero’s ancient winemaking traditions. Together, they created Tinto Pesquera, the now-iconic wine praised by critic Robert Parker as the “Spanish Pétrus,” and were instrumental in establishing these wines on the world stage. Made in a traditional style, these wines remain the benchmark for Ribera del Duero.
Alegre-Valganon (Rioja)
Date: July Cost: £325pp
Winemaker Oscar Alegre and his wife, Eva Valgañon, are leading a revolution in Spain, championing a return to Rioja’s ancient traditions and making wine as it was before Phylloxera and French influence in the late 19th century. Alegre Valgañon produces beautifully sculpted Rioja from the cool north-west of the region, using exceptional sites with old vines, often field blends, and minimal oak influence. All wines are crafted outside the Crianza-Reserva-Gran Reserva ageing system, aiming to showcase local styles and the character of each individual site. This winery captures something truly special!
Burgundy Library Stock
Date: August 21 Cost £600pp
Join us at Pied à Terre for an intimate evening celebrating the elegance and depth of aged Burgundy from our cellars. This carefully curated supper will showcase a selection of exceptional Burgundian wines, thoughtfully paired with a seasonal tasting menu designed to highlight the nuance, complexity, and timeless character of the region’s finest expressions. Producers include, Jean-Marc Boillot, Coche Dury, Roulot and many more.
Michele Satta – Bolgheri
Date: October 27 Cost: £350pp
Michele Satta is one of the founders of Bolgheri DOC, alongside Tenuta San Guido, Ornellaia, and the Antinori family. Among these illustrious neighbours, the Satta family has remained a boutique, terroir-driven producer. Their wines are quintessentially Tuscan in style, championing Mediterranean varieties on the coast, including Sangiovese, Syrah, and Viognier, alongside Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Today, Michele’s son Giacomo heads the estate, one of the leading figures of a new generation of Italian winemakers, producing wines with a “fierce spirit of independence,” as described by Monica Larner of the Wine Advocate.
Agricola Tiberio – Abruzzo
Date: November 25 Cost: £350pp
Tiberio is one of the brightest stars of Italian wine. Winemaker Cristiana Tiberio has made it her mission to craft wines that express a distinct varietal and regional character with minimal intervention. Her uncompromising attention to detail has led her to divide the vineyards into individual biotypes - vines of the same variety and clone, genetically identical, yet adapted to subtle differences in their precise location on an epigenetic level. The result is some of the purest and longest-lived wines in the region. Tiberio is an iconic producer, waiting to be discovered.
